Animal testing is a recurring topic in public discourse. But why are animals used in research?

What is being done to limit the number of animal experiments? And how is animal welfare ensured? We would like to discuss these issues on Wednesday, 22 October at 6 p.m. Dr Michaela Thallmair, Head of the Animal Welfare and 3Rs Department and Animal Welfare Officer at the University of Zurich, will talk about the situation in Switzerland and her work. This event is free of charge and no registration is required. The talk will be in German.
